~ Christmas is Coming ~

"Christmas is Coming" by: Garnett Ann Schultz

~*~*~*~*~

Hustle and Bustle, Hurry and Haste,
Never a moment that we might waste;
Shopping and wrapping, ribbons and bows,
Christmas is coming as everyone knows.

Trimmings and candles, wreath on the door,
Secrets and laughter, gladness galore,
Starlight and carols, bells ringing clear,
No other reason: Christmas is near.

Jolly Old Santa, reindeer and elves,
Presents all hidden away on the shelves,
Cards to be written, mailing to do,
Much in excitement, worries so few.

Love more abundant, peace in our heart,
Giving, remembering, smiles to impart,
Cookies and fruitcake, the fragance of pine,
Christmas is coming to your home and mine.

~ Happy Thanksgiving ~

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE!!!

May your stuffing be tasty

May your turkey plump,

May your potatoes and gravy

Have never a lump.

May your yams be delicious

And your pies take the prize,

And may your Thanksgiving dinner

Stay off your thighs!

~ TOO MUCH ENGLISH! ~

You know you've been doing English too long when you are reading a book or writing a paper, and you have the sudden URGE to underline all the subjects once, the verbs twice, and cross out all the prepositional phrases!!  For each sentence in the book! LOL :)

~* Daybook *~

For today: October 25, 2010

Outside my window: cloudy, really windy, and 69 degrees outside.

I am thinking... that hopefully I can carve my pumpkin tonight.

I am wearing... a blue striped shirt, jeans, and socks.

I am remembering... when we went up to the mountins for a picnic to look at the leaves. I had so much fun!

I am going... no where today. Hopefully church on Wednesday!

I am reading... a Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys super mystery called "Exhibtion of Evil." It is really interesting!

From the learning rooms… Bible, Math, English, Spelling, History, etc.

Noticing that... that there is only 2 more months until CHRISTMAS!!!!

Pondering these words... I WILL lift up my eyes to the hills - From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord. Who made heaven and earth.

From the kitchen… for supper tonight we are having, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, and baked tomatoes. Yum! :p

Around the house... my mom getting ready to start cooking supper.
One of my favorite things: READING!!!

A few plans for the rest of the week: hopefully church on Wednesday, groceries on Thursday, and we might go see Memaw Saturday. :D

From my picture journal...

Here are some pictures that I took when we went up on the mountin.

For Today… October 11, 2010

Outside my window... sunny and supposed to be 85 degrees.

I am thinking...  that I'm excited for youth group on Wednesday!!

I am thankful for... that I was born into a Christian home.

I am wearing... jeans and a pink t-shirt.

I am reading... a Nancy Drew book called "The Case of the Lost Song." It is really interesting!

I am hoping... that my toe feels better. I have surgery on it next week. :(

From the learning rooms… Math, English, History, Calligraphy, Biology, etc.

Pondering these words... PRAISE the LORD! Oh, give thinks to the Lord, for He is good! For his mercy endures forever. PSALM 106 : 1

From the kitchen… I think we are having an omelet for supper - loaded with onions, mushrooms, olives, tomatoes, and cheese. YUM!

Around the house... My dad is off work for Columbus Day and we don't have school today. We are going shopping for Christmas.

One of my favorite things:  Reading, watching movies, and taking pictures.

A few plans for the rest of the week: shopping today, youth group on Wednesday evening, groceries on Thursday, and church on Sunday.

Fall is...

Fall is elusive,
secretive, shy;
Fall is a crispness
that comes from the sky;
Fall brings chrysanthemums,
and sand that's cold;
Fall gives the trees
great halos of gold.

Rustling and bustling,
each little fall sound
Stirs up pumpkins
which squat on the ground,
Scoops up summer,
pauses to tease;
Fall is the mist
which creeps through the trees.

♥ Another Favorite Song ♥

"Let The Waters Rise" by Mikeschair
♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦

Don't know where to begin

Its like my world's caving in

And I try but I can't control my fear

Where do I go from here?

♦♦♦♦
sometimes its so hard to pray

When You feel so far away

But I am willing to go

Where you want me to

God, I trust You

♦♦♦♦

There's a raging sea

Right in front of me

Wants to pull me in

Bring me to my knees

So let the waters rise

If You want them to

I will follow You

I will follow You

I will follow You

♦♦♦♦
I will swim in the deep

'Cuz You'll be next to me

You're in the eye of the storm

And the calm of the sea

You'll never out of reach

♦♦♦♦
God, You know where I've been

You were there with me then

You were faithful before

You'll be faithful again

I'm holding Your hand

♦♦♦♦

There's a raging sea

Right in front of me

Wants to pull me in

Bring me to my knees

So let the waters rise

If You want them to

I will follow You

I will follow You

I will follow You

♦♦♦♦
God Your love is enough

You will pull me through

I'm holding onto You

God Your love is enough

I will follow You

I will follow You

♦♦♦♦

Ohhh

♦♦♦♦

There's a raging sea

Right in front of me

Wants to pull me in

Bring me to my knees

So let the waters rise

If You want them to

I will follow You

I will follow You

I will follow You

~ My Favorite Song ~

"Healing Begins" by Tenth Avenue North

So you thought you had to keep this up
All the work that you do
So we think that you're good
And you can't believe it's not enough
All the walls you built up
Are just glass on the outside

So let 'em fall down
There's freedom waiting in the sound
When you let your walls fall to the ground
We're here now

This is where the healing begins, oh
This is where the healing starts
When you come to where you're broken within
The light meets the dark
The light meets the dark

Afraid to let your secrets out
Everything that you hide
Can come crashing through the door now
But too scared to face all your fear
So you hide but you find
That the shame won't disappear

So let it fall down
There's freedom waiting in the sound
When you let your walls fall to the ground
We're here now
We're here now, oh

This is where the healing begins, oh
This is where the healing starts
When you come to where you're broken within
The light meets the dark
The light meets the dark

Sparks will fly as grace collides
With the dark inside of us
So please don't fight
This coming light
Let this blood come cover us
His blood can cover us

This is where the healing begins, oh
This is where the healing starts
When you come to where you're broken within
The light meets the dark
The light meets the dark

~ Raindrops ~

allposters.com
The raindrops make a pleasing sound
When swiftly falling from the sky,
Refreshing fields and meadow ground
And pastures that were seared and dry.
~*~*~*~*~
When splashing on the windowpanes,
The raindrops sing a merry lay,
While breezes echo their refrains
Through branching trees that bend and sway.
~*~*~*~*~
When I at last am snug in bed
And silence seems the most profound,
Upon the roof above my head,
The raindrops make a pleasing sound.

~ Gratitude ~

allposter.com
~*~*~
We thank You, GOD, for beauty
That comes with each new spring:
The greening hills and valleys,
The songbirds on the wing,
The meadow flowers waking
And waltzing in the breeze,
Bright sunbeams gaily dancing
Upon the new-leafed trees.
~*~*~
The Jonquils in their bonnets
With trim of beaded dew,
The tulip cups unfolding
In shades of brilliant hue,
The pink-white apple blossoms
Against the soft blue sky,
The fluffy clouds and sunshine,
The mountains towering high,
~*~*~
The rainbow-tinted colors
Aglow across the land -
For such a wealth of splendor
Created by Your hand.
In gratitude, our Father,
We lift our hearts in praise,
Rejoicing in Your blessings
Throughout the springtime days.
