 1 c. of obedience
Several lbs. affection
1 pint neatness
Some holidays, birthday, and everyday surprises
1 c. running errands
1 box powdered "Willing to get up when I should"
1 bottle "Keep sunny all day long"
1 c. pure thoughtfulness

Mix well and bake in a hearty warm oven and serve to Mother everyday. She likes it in BIG SLICES!

~ Recipe for a Happy Day ~

1 c. friendly words
4 tsp. time and patience
2 heaping c. understanding
pinch of warm personality
dash of humor

Measure words carefully. Add heaping cups of understanding; use generous amounts of time and patience. Cook with gas on front burner. Keep temperature low; do not boil. Add dash of humor and a pinch of warm personality. Season to taste with the spice of life. Serve in individual molds.

Crockpot Lasagna

Today for supper we're having crockpot lasagna. It's really good. :o) It has lasagna noodles, spaghetti sauce, ground beef, italian seasoning, mushrooms, ricotta cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Mmmmmmmm!

Here is the recipe:

Crockpot Lasagna

1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
1 t. italian seasoning
8 lasagna noodles, uncooked and broken into thirds
28 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
1/3 c. water
Optional: 4 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained
15 oz. container ricotta cheese
8 oz. pkg. shredded mozzarella cheese

Combine ground beef and italian seasoning. Arrange half the lasagna noodles in a greased slow cooker. Spread half the ground beef mixture over noodles. Top with half each of remaining ingredients. Repeat layering process. Cover and cook for 5 hours on low setting. Serves 10.

Speedy Brownies

I like to make these brownies A LOT! They are SOOOOOOOOO GOOD!


Speedy Brownies

2 cups sugar
1-3/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1 tsp. salt
5 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup (6 oz.) milk chocolate chips or peanut butter chips

In a mixing bowl, combine the first seven ingredients; beat until smooth. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 baking pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips or peanut butter chips. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Yield: about 3 dozen.
