As I said yesterday, Saturday was my birthday...
And I turned 13!
First, I wanted to go shopping with my birthday money--and since Kohls is my favorite store, I went there. I especially like looking at the clearance racks and I found a lot of great stuff!
Then we went out to eat at Checkers. That is a hamburger place for those of you who might not know. I LOVE their
seasoned fries! :)This year my theme was "High School Musical" and I had plates and napkins to go along with it. My mom and my brother had decorated the diningroom with streamers and balloons for me the day before. It looked really pretty!
So...later in the evening, I blew out my birthday candles and
made a wish! (Sorry--I can't tell you what it was! ;)
Then we ate cake and ice cream and watched the first "High School Musical" movie. It's one of my favorite movies....but, actually I like all three!
I had a really great day and it was fun turning 13!
Until later.....Amber
For Today... Monday, July 20, 2009
Outside My Window... cloudy out and a chance of storms.
I am thinking... that I can't believe I'm teenager already! I turned 13 on Saturday. I am thankful for... the fun birthday I had!
From the kitchen... for supper: fried salmon cakes, mushrooms & rice, and mixed vegetables.
I am wearing... a purple and white striped shirt and white capris.
I am reading... a Nancy Drew book called, "The Clue in the Crumbling Wall."
I am hoping... that I can go with the youth group to the nursing home ministry service on Sunday afternoon.
I am creating... nothing right now.
I am hearing... air conditioners running.
I am going... no where tonight.
Around the house... birthday decorations are still up in the diningroom--balloons, streamers, and birthday cards on the table.
One of my favorite things... going shopping with my birthday money!
A Few Plans for the Rest of the Week: grocery shopping on Thursday, a family reunion on Saturday, church on Sunday.
My mom had made me a homemade birthday cake, but it accidentally fell all apart. It was a mess! ;( So, my dad quickly rushed me up to the bakery 10 minutes before it closed so that I could pick out a store-bought one.
